This website was created to give you your TRUE bra size using your TRUE measurements, which results in the best, most optimal fit you will ever experience. Why are they fitting you into a band size that is NOT your actual measurement?! If you measure 30 inches under your bust, your band size should be exactly 30 inches. This results in a less-than-optimal bra fitting because the band is going to be too loose, and the cup size is going to be too small due to the additional band size allowance. This is a looser measurement than the rib band measurement. So if you measure a true 30" around, your band size would be rounded up to 34" in order to fit their brand sizing. Measure around the fullest part of your breasts, over your nipple area. If the underwire is sitting on your breast tissue, try a bigger cup size so that all your breast tissue is enclosed in the cups and if the wire is poking into your armpit try a smaller back size (but remember to go up a cup size to keep the volume in the cup size the same). It is common for a lingerie fitter to take your under-bust measurement and add 4 (or even 5!) inches to that number. The underwire in your bra can hurt if it’s sitting on your breast tissue or armpit rather than your ribcage. In many US department stores, the method of sizing they use is outdated and super inacurate.

Measure just above your bust, right about where the straps meet the top of the cup. Band sizes ranging from 28 to 52 and cup sizes ranging from AA to J are the norm there, and so they should be! around your back at band level, under each arm and around the front. Hold the tape firmly, making sure that it doesn’t pinch or feel tight. Keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground, measure from back to front, holding the tape over the fullest part of the bust. Now that you have all of your measurements, just place your band size in front of your cup size and youre done For example, if your band size is 34 and your cup size is a C, your bra size is 34C. To determine your bust size, stand up straight with your arms at your sides. The United Kingdom, for example, knows that breasts are not created in a limited size range and caters to all shapes and sizes. Put the band size with the cup size to find out your bra size. The good news: most brands outside of the United States already know this and have been manufacturing bras that fit the majority of women for ages. There's a secret that many large scale lingerie companies don't want you to know - there are a plethora of bra sizes outside of the standard A-DD range and you very likely might fit into one of them.
